North Korea holds ‘scorched earth’ missile test to defy US

North Korea test-fired two suspected ballistic missiles in response to the US sending a strategic bomber to the region for military drills with South Korea. The missiles were fired towards waters off the east coast and flew approximately 360 kilometers. North Korea claimed the launches were in retaliation for the joint drills and issued a threat to the US and South Korea.
