Cybersecurity firm Darktrace accepts $5 bn takeover

Cybersecurity company Darktrace has agreed to a $5.3 billion acquisition by US private equity firm Thoma Bravo, recognizing Darktrace's expertise in artificial intelligence. This deal follows Thoma Bravo's previous interest in acquiring Darktrace two years ago. Darktrace CEO Poppy Gustafsson emphasized the importance of their technology in combating AI-driven cyber threats.
