Saudi Arabia appoints Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan bin Abdullah Al-Fawzan as New Grand Mufti

Saudi Arabia, by royal decree issued by King Salman, has announced Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan bin Abdullah Al-Fawzan as the new Grand Mufti. He succeeds the late Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh and will serve as chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars and head of the Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta, holding the rank of minister.
